Hold Select as the first match begins. The controller configuration screen will appear.

CPU vs. CPU

Select tournament mode, highlight the "End" selection, and press Start. The CPU will control both players in the matches. Press any button to speed up the current match.

Player one vs. CPU using same fighter

Start a one player game, choose any character, and lose both rounds of the first match. Press Start at the continue screen, then select the character to be cloned. Play as this character, lose both rounds, and press Start to continue. Choose a different character than those used in the first two matches and press Start on controller two when entering the next match. Choose a character other than the one to be cloned. Allow player one to defeat player two in both rounds. Do not continue as player two. Allow the CPU to begin fighting with player one, then press Start on controller two. Select the character that corresponds to the stage you are flying to, however do not choose the character to be cloned. Have player two continuously lose until reaching the stage of the character to be cloned. Allow time to run out without fighting in any round. Press Start at the continue screen and select the character to be cloned. Press Start to fight the CPU using the same character.

Player two vs. CPU using two Ryus

Start a one player game and choose any character except Ryu. Continue the game until reaching Ryu's stage. Press Start on controller two and select any character except Ryu. Allow each player to win a one of the first two matches, and let time run out in the second two matches without fighting. Press Start to continue and select Ryu.

Player two vs. CPU using two Kens

Start a game with any character except Ken. After reaching Ken's stage, press Start on controller two and select any character except Ken. Allow each player to win a one of the first two matches, and let time run out in the second two matches without fighting. Press Start on controller two to continue. Choose Ken as a character.

Power on the SNES, enter the options screen, then exit the options screen. Repeat this 26 times, then start a match.

Player vs. player championship

Press Down, R, Up, L, Y, B when the Capcom logo appears before the title screen. The screen will turn blue to confirm correct code entry. Enter Vs. battle mode. Press Start to change the color of the fighters' costumes, or A to keep them identical.

Enable the "Player vs. player championship" code. Press Start + R before the screen fades after beating M. Bison.

Sound test

Choose the sound effects selection in the options menu. Rapidly tap R on sound effect 25, 26, or 27. This will result in new sound effects in positions 1F through 23.
