Outer Space level
Unlock all the characters in the regular stages, then complete mission mode to unlock the Outer Space level, which has an endless depth.
Play as Puchi
Successfully complete the Japan level in mission driller mode to unlock Puchi.
Mirror time attack mode
Successfully complete levels A through J in time attack mode to unlock mirror time attack mode.
Play as Usagi (Japanese version)
Unlock all characters, then successfully complete the 2000m Moon level again with Ataru. A black rabbit (Usagi) will appear on the top screen. Successfully complete the stage to unlock Usagi as the middle character on the selection screen.
Mr. Driller Badge
Successfully complete a Mission Driller mode level without using any items or losing a life. Note: The Outer Space level does not have a badge since it is endless.
South Pole level (European version)
Successfully complete all levels except Outer Space in mission mode to unlock the South Pole level. Note: This is an endless level.
Endless Tokyo Dristone Driller level
Successfully complete Dristone Driller to unlock Tokyo as an endless level.
Alternate title screen
A flower will appear at the title screen when each of the following levels are completed. A seventh flower will appear after all previous six flowers have been unlocked.
